About This Project
Ackerman Family Vineyards is a boutique winery located in the cooler Coombsville region of southern Napa County. They have been making wine since 1995 with their first commercial release coming in October 2007. AFV farms organically, using legumes as a cover crop, no chemicals and hawk boxes for rodent control, among other things. The wine is 100% cab and is barrel aged for two years in new French Oak and then bottle aged for an additional two years before it is released. They sell direct to consumer and through restaurants and high-end direct retailers only. The owners of AFV asked me to create a unique web property that captures the “essence” of this very special vineyard.
